In manchen Ländern werden am Weihnachsttag Karpfen gegessen, anderswo gebratener Schinken oder gefüllte Pute, ggf.Truthahn.
Zum Beispiel in den USA, wo seit den zwanziger Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts, der aus Coca Cola´s Marketing geborene Santa Claus, dieser bärtige und dicke und rotwangige und lächelnde Herr, der langsam in Trab und Galopp auch anderswo in der Welt losrennt. Und vielleicht auch mit ihm kommt dann zu uns auf den Weihnachtstisch in die lachenden und feierlichen Mäuler ein Truthahn oder eine Pute.
Eine der Weihnachtstraditionen in den USA ist auch die präsidentielle Gnade für einen der Weihnachtsvögel. Im Jahre 2003 waren auf den Farmen in den USA fast 270 000 000 Puten, ungefähr 30% davon wurden für das Thanksgiving Fest geschlachtet, eine davon wurde begnadigt und überlebte. Wie hollywood-isch!

Zehn Hennen gerettet vor unnützigem Leidem und einer gewalttätigen Tötung. Sie wurden in ein neues, sicheres Zuhause gebracht, wo Sie im Grass, auf der Sonne und auf der frischen Luft verbleiben werden. Sie werden ihre Flügel ausbreiten und rennen können und die Schwächeren werden den Stärkeren entkommen können. Sendet dies weiter.

13 κότες διασώθηκαν από την άσκοπη ταλαιπωρία και τη βίαιη θανάτωση. Έχουν μεταφερθεί σε ένα νέο ασφαλές σπίτι όπου θα ζουν στο χορτάρι, τον ήλιο και τον καθαρό αέρα. 13 gallinas fueron rescatados de un sufrimiento innecesario y una muerteviolenta. Fueron transportadas a un nuevo hogar, donde seguramente van a vivir en la hierba, al sol y al aire fresco. Serán capaces de extender sus alas y correr, y los más débiles tendrán la posibilidad de escapar de los más fuertes.

Čenda, Venda, Ledňáček. Tři beránci, za nimiž jsme s přítelem Čuňákem od května do konce října roku 2006 jezdili 1–2 x měsíčně. Natáčeli jsme je, jak si rostou, hrají, objevují svůj omezený prostor. Jednoho dne přestali být jehňaty, staly se jehněčím.

Derin ve uzun süreli değişimlerin kuvvet kullanarak başarılabileceğini sanmıyorum, ister yasalara karşı olsun, isterse yasalardan yana. O kadar tankımız, balistik füzemiz yok, dünyadaki devletleri yozlaştıracak bir paramız yok. Amaçlar araçları meşrulaştırmıyor; araçlar sonu değiştirirse ne olacak?

Bir keresinde arkadaşımla beraber bir fareyi yakaladığımızı hatırlıyorum. Bowling oynadığımız yerin çatısına çıkardık fareyi (çocukken sürekli o çatıda oynardık), kuyruğuna ip bağladık ve onunla oynadık. Kaçmaya çalışınca az da olsa izin veriyorduk, sonra yavaşça geriye çekiyorduk, ya da ipe bastırıp hayatı için mücadele etmesini keyifle izliyorduk.

13 hens were rescued from unneccessary suffering and violent killing. They were transported to a new, safe home where they will live in the grass, sun and fresh air. They will be able to spread their wings and run, and the weaker ones will have the possibility to escape the stronger ones. Send it further.

Lidská fantazie jakoby snad ani neměla dno. Co všechno dokázal člověk vymyslet a praktikovat, když jde o to, způsobit někomu bolest. Drtí, mačká, trhá, řeže, pálí, dusí, topí, vaří, vráží na kůl, přibíjí na kříž. Co všechno dokáže použít, když chce trestat. Dřevo, vodu, železo, oheň, zvířata. 2010 yılı Ekim ve Kasım aylarında bir kaç arkadaşla beraber Çek Cumhuriyeti tarafından sahiplenilen topraklardaki kürk çiftliklerini ziyaret ettik. Cehenneme 2006 ve 2007 yıllarında gitmiştim, şimdi farklı hayvanları aynı kafeslerde, aynı kaderi beklerken görüyordum. Besle ve öldür. Bir deri bir kemik kalmış cesedi at gitsin ya da bırak birisi yesin, geri kalanın da kanı iyice akıtılsın ve satışa çıkarılsın.

Herşeye alıştığımızı söylüyorlar. Zaman içinde bütün korkuların daha az korkutucu, bütün acıların daha az acı verici olduğunu söylüyorlar. Ama hayvanların yaşamları ve ölümlerinden para kazanan adi iş hayatı artık beni daha fazla hasta ediyor. Bir çiftlikten ya da yoldan döndüğümde, bilgisayar başına oturup bir kaç saat içerisinde fotoğraf ve videoları yüklüyorum. Genellikle bir sefer yetiyor. Bugün, haftalar sürebilir. Uyanıyorum, odada yürüyorum; her seferinde yeniden baktığım fotoğraflar var. Tekrar tekrar bakıyorum onlara. Herşey ölü. Kurtarmayı başarabildiğimiz bir kaç hayvan var sadece. Onlara o çalınmış yaşamlarını geri verebileceğimiz.

V prosinci 2010 jsem přednášel v Madridu. Při té příležitosti jsem se byl podívat na dvou kožešinových farmách. Jedna byla prázdná, pravděpodobně přerušila nebo ukončila svou teroristickou živnost. Na druhé jsem udělal pár fotek. Myslím, že po fotografické stránce nejsou dobré, ale dokumentární hodnota zůstává.

In October and November 2010 I visited, together with few colleagues, certain fur farms on the territory acclaimed by Czech Republic. I had visited the hell in 2006 and 2007 and now I watched different animals in same cages and with same fate. Feed and kill. Skinned body to be thrown away or fed to someone else and the rest washed clean of blood and put in the sale.
